GOLF :
The Chandigarh Golf Course is one of the oldest courses in the region. Its 18 holes were laid out in 1962 on an area of 132 acres just south of Sukhna Lake and adjacent to the residence of the Punjab Governor in Sector 6. Golf Club membership is confined to the city's elite. Although the initial outlay required from a new member is around Rs 70,000, the list of those waiting to become members is long. Aside from the golf course, the members enjoy an excellent swimming pool, games rooms for bridge and mahjong, and a well appointed Club house.
